December is just around the corner and we'll soon begin wrapping up the year. The occasion warrants looking back at the best and the worst that happened in the tech industry in 2017. And as always, let's start with the best i.e. the top 10 gadgets that wowed us with their specs and the looks.

1) Apple iPhone X-

The iPhone X is the best smartphone in the market right now and undoubtedly tops the list here. The iPhone X is the first smartphone from Apple to feature edge-to-edge 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display panel with 2436 by 1125 pixel resolution and 458 PPI pixel density. The device is powered by a 64-bit hex-core A11 Bionic chip with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. And of course, there is the much talked about Face ID.

For optics, Apple has packed a 12 MP dual camera setup on the back of the device with a f/1.8 wide-angle lens and a f/2.4 telephoto lens. Both the camera sensors in the dual camera setup come with optical image stabilization. The device also packs a quad LED two-tone flash unit between the two camera modules. Thefuturistic phone is available in two variants. The 64 GB variant costs Rs 89,000 while the 256 GB costs roughly Rs 1,02,000.

The laptop's Infinity display makes it an automatic choice for being the best laptop of 2017. The XPS 13 is priced at Rs 97,000.

The LG OLED C7 is one of the best looking OLED TV currently available. The 4K LG C7 OLED TV offers excellent picture quality thanks to its ability to display true blacks. It gets fairly bright, and it can display a wide range of colors, so it's also a great HDR performer. It's available in 55 and 65-inch versions and manages to strike a fine balance of industry-leading OLED technology and wallet-friendly price.

The iPad 2017 with its 9.7-inch display, an A9 chip, and 32 GB storage make it the best tablet in the market right now. The new iPad comes in three colors: Silver, Gold and Space Grey. It has Touch ID, Apple Pay, and 4G internet connectivity. The new iPad 2017 is not compatible with either the Apple Pencil or the Smart Keyboard that iPad Pro users get to use. The iPad 2017 is available on Flipkart at Rs 24,900.

The HTC Vive is the most advanced VR system ever made. The controls are intuitive to use, the resolution is incredible, with a 1080p screen per eye. The only issue is the HTC Vive’s weight. It’s 555 gm without the cables, and a fair bit more with them, and you need to add another couple of hundred grams if you want to use over-ear headphones. The HTC Vive costs you Rs 76,990.

The Bose QuietComfort 35 combines top-of-the-line active-noise canceling with wireless Bluetooth operation in an extra-comfortable, fold-up design. The sound is excellent for Bluetooth, and it doubles as a great headset for phone calls. Works in wired mode with an included cord if the battery dies. The battery is rated at 20 hours, which is quite good. The Bose QuietComfort 35 is priced at Rs 29,363.
