Twitter

BANGALORE, INDIA: Twitter Cards that are generally used by developers and news partners to richly represent their content on Twitter see a latest change. Twitter has updated its Summary Cards globally (on mobile) to improve the way users consume information from publishers, and it is also beneficial for publishers as users can see more about the content that’s on their websites, with just a quick glance.

Advertisment

Earlier, users would need to click on a tweet to see the details of the tweet. Now with Summary Cards users can see the image, title and summary of that tweet; these cards load automatically in the timeline. This preview, as Twitter explains, helps users decide if they would like to visit the website, they get more information about the tweet right there in the timeline, and it’s a more attractive format for consuming information.

For publishers, this means that their tweets are more visually appealing and informative, and hence will drive more traffic to their websites. This update is available for all iOs and Android users globally.
