With the National Testing Agency (NTA) firm on its decision to conduct JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 in September, protests against the engineering and medical entrance exams are rising high. According to reports, over 24 lakh students will take JEE Main and NEET exams this year. Every minute there are over a thousand tweets from students. They are burning their admit cards, going on hunger strike and asking other students to do the same. The exams have, now, become a national issue.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday reiterated his demand that government should postpone medical and engineering entrance exams NEET and JEE. He asked the Central government to work on alternative methods for selecting students.

From environment activist Greta Thunberg to ministers of different Indian states, politicians have joined students’ voices demanding postponement of the two exams. BJP Minister Subramanian Swamy, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently opposed the idea of conducting exams amid a pandemic. Actor Sonu Sood too has actively opposed the idea to have exams during COVID-19.

2. Fill in the application number, date of birth and the security pin.

3. Click ‘Submit. Further, the NEET Admit Card 2020 will display on the screen.

4. Download the NEET 2020 admit card. Also, make sure you take a print out for future reference.

NEET 2020 Admit Card: Important Points

After downloading the NEET 2020 admit card, candidates are advised to carefully read the information mentioned. In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NTA has introduced extra precautionary measures for the exam day. Candidates must report to the NEET exam hall as per the reporting time mentioned in the hall ticket. In case of a discrepancy on the NEET 2020 admit card, candidates should immediately contact NTA and report it.

On the exam day, candidates must bring a printout of the admit card along with a valid photo ID and recent passport size photograph. As without the NEET admit card and photo ID, the centres will not allow candidates to enter the examination hall.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET 2020, is scheduled to be held on September 13, 2020, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Looking at the COVID-19 pandemic, the NTA has said that it has made sufficient arrangements to conduct the exams safely. NTA has also said that over 99% of the candidates have their "first choice of centre cities".

Also, as the admit cards are out, Members of the Congress-affiliated NSUI began an indefinite hunger strike. They are demanding to postpone the NEET and JEE exams.
