HMD Global seeks your feedback on Nokia with pre-installed surveys

After creating enough buzz with its resurrected Nokia phones, HMD Global- the new home for Nokia brand- now wants to know your feedback on its new line of mobile devices. But the company’s chosen route to do so is something that might irritate some of the Nokia’s new owners.

As first spotted by VentureBeat, Nokia 3310 comes with a pre-installed survey that is looking for your ‘valuable feedback’ and in all likelihood could become a standard practice across the company’s devices. The problem here is not the survey per se but the fact that there is no permanent way to dismiss it, merely offering two options — agree or postpone.

Chinese phone maker OnePlus too opted for a similar strategy during the launch of OnePlus 5 when it pushed notifications to OnePlus smartphone users asking them to take up the feedback questionnaire and stand a chance to win the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

HMD Global announced the Nokia 8 this week, and it is very likely that the company might push a similar pre-installed consumer survey in the flagship smartphone. Reports suggest that Nokia 8 will be available for sale in India around the month of October.
