Google shortlists 4 Indian startups for the new edition of Launchpad Accelerator

Google has revealed the four shortlisted Indian startups for the 5th edition of its mentorship programme 'Launchpad Accelerator'. The tech giant said with this batch, a total of 30 startups have joined the Launchpad Accelerator programme from India.

The shortlisted startups are as follows- BabyChakra, m.Paani, NIRAMAI, and SocialCops will join a group of startups from all over the world at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Fransisco.

BabyChakra is a company that offers free parenting advice regarding pregnancy, parenting, baby development and baby care.

m.Paani offers a mobile-based loyalty and data solution for the mass-market consumer in emerging economies. It powers real-time, direct-to-consumer engagement, marketing, and insights for consumers and retailers.

NIRAMAI is a breast cancer screening startup that is building a touch-free and radiation-free approach to detect breast cancer. The company has raised funding from pi Ventures, Axilor Ventures, Ankur Capital, 500 Startups and Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal.

SocialCops is a data intelligence startup that enables organizations to make better data-driven decisions.

"We’re thrilled to see the quality of startups coming from India, with high impact solutions that are solving for the Indian context. These startups have been shortlisted based on their unique value proposition and use of latest technologies like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence" said Roy Glasberg, Global Lead, Google Developers Launchpad. Google's Launchpad Accelerator will kick off from January 29 and will include two weeks of an all expenses paid training, as part of the full six-month programme.

The company said, the participants will receive equity free support, credits for Google products, media training, and will continue to work closely with Google back home in their country.
