The new Google speakers will compete with the likes of the Amazon Echo speaker range – Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus. Meanwhile, Flipkart has already listed the Google Home and Home Mini speakers on its e-commerce website, confirming the availability.

Google Assistant recently announced support for 30 more languages, including Hindi, by the end of this year. "The Assistant is already available in eight languages, and by the end of the year it will be available in more than 30 languages, reaching 95 percent of all eligible Android phones worldwide," Nick Fox, vice president of Product, Google wrote in a blog post. A Hindi language support in Assistant can definitely boost the prospects of the Home and Home Mini sales in India.

In a bid to add to its hardware line in one of the world's fastest growing market, Google is planning an aggressive market strategy that also includes a mid-range Pixel device along with Other Nest products.

The pricing for the Indian market is yet not known. In the US, the Google Home Mini sells for $49 (Rs 3,200 approx) and the Google Home sells for $129 (Rs 8,400 approx). The only difference between the Home and Home Mini is to do with the speaker. The smart features are the same on both the devices.
