So what changes?
The delay in the exams is the direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Till a vaccine comes out (now that there's hope), the government will not be keen on opening schools, or colleges. This results in a delayed year. Understandably, the academic year affects one of the most important entrance exams for class 12 students. But on a flip side, the CBSE has reduced the syllabus by 30%. So, students have to study less. Thus, a month delay instead of exam postponement is a win-win situation.
Even now, schools are looking to complete the syllabus of CBSE board exams via online classes. The delay will only cause the academic session of 2021-22 to begin as late as September-October 2021.
