Whatsapp calling feature not a malware anymore

BANGALORE, INDIA: After the Watsapp calling invite malware which made a buzz last week, the complany has finally rolled out the feature for all the Android users.

To activate this feature, you first need to update the app. You will need to download version 2.11.528 from the Play Store or version 2.11.531 from the WhatsApp website. After this you need to receive an invite from an user who already has activated the feature. After receiving the call, close and open the app again. You will find three new tabs Calls, Chats, Contacts.  But, if the app still places a regular call the update is not complete.

The company had been beta- testing this feature for a while now. The feature has been awaited for long by the users after the company had announced it last year. After the success of other voice calling apps like Viber and others, it will be interesting to see if Whatsapp takes them over with its delayed entry.
