Zync's Android 4 tablet for Rs.11,990

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Indigenous tablet maker Zync has unveiled Z-999 Plus priced Rs.11,990. The company sees huge potential in the Indian market and said that they would introduce more devices.

Powered by 1.5GHz single core ARM Cortex A8 processor, the new Android 4.0 tablet features 3G SIM slot and inbuilt Wi-Fi and 2MP back and VGA front-facing camera. It has high resolution LED screen.

Zync director Ashish Garg said that they are investing Rs.150 crore and expecting to sell 5 lakh units by 2013. “We are selling this product successfully on e-commerce portals such as flipkart.com, naaptol.com, snapdeal.com and homeshop18.com,” he said.

The company said that they were the first to launch Android 4 tablet few months ago and they are constantly working towards product development. “The response from our customers in education segment for our earlier models like Z-909 Plus, Z-990 and Z-990 has been outstanding,” added Garg.

Zync technical director Anuj Garg said that they have further developed this device and included a SIM card slot. “It is one of the slimmest tablets in the market. We also offer one-year pick and drop warranty,” he added. 

For Z-999 Plus distribution, the company has roped in Balaji Solutions that has presence in more than 20 states.
