The contract win constitutes 70 per cent market share following two years’ strict technical testing.

“ZTE MSAN solution has adopted an All-IP core network infrastructure with versatile access modes, flexible networking structure and can be upgraded to MSAG (Multiple Service Access Gateway) in NGN network. It also provides an economic and smooth network evolution roadmap for TM’s NGN network,” said Xu Ming, GM of ZTE Wireline Products.

ZTE’s cooperation with Telekom Malaysia dates back to 2003 when ZTE provided TM with broadband terminals and value-added services. In 2006, ZTE secured 40 per cent of TM’s MSAN project.
