In Luxembourg, ZTE has won a comprehensive service contract for the operation, maintenance and roll-out of the core network of MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) JOIN Experience. ZTE will also become the sole network equipment provider for JOIN’s core network. With a highly qualified Managed Services team of more than 1.000 employees, ZTE is now expanding its services business into Germany’s neighbouring countries.

ZTE Services Deutschland is taking over the complete hosting and maintenance of the voicemail services of Dutch network operator KPN. Under a three year contract, ZTE Services Deutschland will provide all relevant managed services to maintain and operate voicemail services for mobile subscribers in the Netherlands. After weeks of careful preparation and coordination, ZTE Services Deutschland took over the voicemail hosting for KPN starting on 1 November 2014.

In late 2009, KPN International selected ZTE as the single supplier for its new 2G/3G/4G networks in Germany and Belgium. The partnership has grown from network access equipment to the deployment of core network equipment and now also to the delivery of managed services.

Under the comprehensive managed services contract with JOIN Experience, ZTE Services Deutschland will take over the complete responsibility for network operations, end-to-end reporting on the radio network, roll-out and maintenance as well as the trouble-shooting, repair, testing and software upgrading of JOIN’s core network in Luxembourg and Belgium. ZTE Services Deutschland will work with ZTEsoft, ZTE’s IT subsidiary, which will provide cutting-edge OSS and BSS solutions as well as major new software tools to enable a faster and more reliable end-user experience. ZTEsoft will also provide a complete billing and payment management system to the JOIN network under the newly signed contract.

“JOIN is planning to expand its mobile and IT services business from Luxembourg to other European countries, starting with Belgium in mid-November,” said Claude Lüscher, General Manager of JOIN Experience. “The contract we have signed with ZTE Services Deutschland establishes our cooperation and our ambition to grow together. It is our goal to grow into other European markets and to leverage the potential of our pan-European tariff offer. We feel that ZTE is the right partner, sharing the same challenger philosophy.”

“ZTE Services Deutschland started its operations in 2013 and achieved significant growth in 2014, taking over network operations for the mobile network of E-Plus,” said Xu Ziyang, General Manager of ZTE Services Deutschland GmbH. “Since we started our operations in Germany, we have been working on the expansion of our services to other European network operators. We have cooperated with many European operators over the past 10 years, supporting our customers with cost efficient, future-proof solutions to fulfill the growing demands of their end-users. The newly signed contracts with our partners KPN and JOIN Experience are proof of our outstanding managed services capability and successful European sales strategy.”
