NEW DELHI: Zee Interactive Learning System (ZILS) has developed an education
software "Tutor@home" for students from class I to 10. The software
covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and English. The company
has also developed school management software "SchoolLink" and a
time-table management software. Initially, the company would install these
softwares in schools and colleges of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Bangalore.
Vincent Fernandes, head, academic institution, ZILS said, "Our education
experts have carefully analyzed the content and mapped it so that students of
ICSE, CBSE or SSC board of Maharashtra or any other state board of India can
benefit equally from it."
ZILS has developed Tutor@home in a manner so that school teachers would be
able to provide information about the subject in a better way. The software has
animation and interactivity tools through which a student can evaluate himself.
The company has also installed this software in 36 schools in Delhi, Mumbai,
Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune. The license fee of the software ranges from Rs
90,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh per year depending upon the requirement. The company has
also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 52 schools across the country for
the installation of this software. It is expecting to install in 450 more
schools in the next one year.
Also, ZILS has provided a link on their Web site "zeelearn.com"
through which students can register themselves and download the contents of the
subjects of their choice by paying a certain amount.
SchoolLink is a software that enables schools to manage their fee structure,
attendance, payrolls and employee records. Priced at Rs 35,000, the company has
installed this software in 12 schools in Mumbai and is expecting to install it
in another 250 schools soon.
It has also developed a software "Timetable Management", which
helps teachers to frame an ideal time-table for students. The cost of the
software is Rs 40,000 and is currently being installed on order basis. It has
already installed the software in most of the DAV colleges of Jharkhand state,
around 20 schools in Nashik and in Tata group of schools in Jamshedpur.
