MUMBAI: Zenta, a BPO company, will open two new centers in the country and plans to ramp up its employee strength by 1,500. The company's current headcount stands at 3,000. The company is in process of acquiring two overseas companies also.

According to the company spokesperson, Zenta is looking out to expand its business across the country. The company is currently present only in Mumbai and is scouting for new locations outside Maharashtra to open two new facilities.

It has also acquired two overseas companies but officials are tightlipped about it as the deal process is still on. These acquisitions would supplement company's current business portfolio.

In the fast growing BPO industry, Zenta was at sixth position in NASSCOM ranking in 2003-04. It currently has four delivery centers in Mumbai, handling thousands of transactions daily. Its right shoring strategy, however, is to leverage additional offshore locations, including the Philippines, China and Sri Lanka.
