Zensar CEO gets Asia HRD award

PUNE: Ganesh Natarajan, Global CEO of IT and BPO firm Zensar Technologies Ltd. won the 'Contribution to the Organization' award at the Asia HRD Congress 2005.

He was awarded at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre at Petaling Jaya in Malaysia.

The Asia HRD Congress Award was instituted to honour and recognize professionals and practitioners who have made significant contributions to human capital development, within the organization or to the HR fraternity at large.

The award was presented to Natarajan in recognition of his creativity in the development of workplace strategies, policies and practices that have benefited his organization and his unique leadership style and innovative management techniques, a company statement said.

Accepting the award, Natarajan said Zensar had adopted global practices in HR and brought in innovations in the organization.

Natarajan has been the deputy chairman & MD and Global CEO of the company since March 2001. Earlier, he had received the Wistex Foundation's CEO of the decade - knowledge award in 1999. He currently chairs the western India Outsourcing Forum of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and was recently appointed chairman of NASSCOM's Innovation Forum for 2005-07.
