Zenith LCD displays, monitors hit market

MUMBAI: Laptop maker Zenith Computers Ltd has announced its foray in to the manufacture and delivery of its 15 inch and 17 inch LCD monitor.

Following its success in the laptop market, Zenith, will now venture into the production of LCD monitors for desktops and laptops. The Mumbai-based 25-year-old firm has recorded a sale of 30,000 laptops this year, which accounts for a 315 per cent growth in units over 2004-05.

The growing use of LCD Displays in laptops, mobile phones, signages, public announcement systems and televisions, has prompted Zenith to offer its range of LCDs Monitors as standalone, in addition to desktops and laptops.

According to industry estimate, the LCD market share at 14 per cent during 2005 and is expected to grow to 22 per cent by 2008 and replace the traditional CRT monitors.

Zenith's focus on high value computing products such as laptops and LCDs, is expected to contribute to approximately 60 per cent of the company's revenue within two years.

We keep the Indian customer in mind while designing and manufacturing high-end products.
