DALLAS, USA: Solution provider for software development tools to the embedded computing industry Zeligsoft has announced new technology to enable developers to build portable application software for Texas Instruments’ C64x+ family of high performance DSP platforms.

To be used in conjunction with its flagship software development environment, Zeligsoft CE, Zeligsoft will offer platform profiles supporting the TMS320TCI6482 single core device, TMS320TCI6488 multicore device and associated real-time operating systems (RTOSs) including DSP/BIOS and Enea OSE compact kernel (OSEck).

Zeligsoft CE 3.4 with Zeligsoft’s platform profiles provide a complete and customized development environment for the embedded target device, including modeling of the platform and application, and modeling and validation of the configuration and deployment (application mapped to platform).

Zeligsoft’s deployment-aware generation (DAG), an essential part of the development environment, automatically generates optimized service access and communication code for the target based on the configured deployment.

“With this technology, our customers who have selected C64x+ devices will be able to develop performance optimized applications for the embedded target and efficiently port their applications to other platforms — productivity that could never be achieved with the time-consuming and error-prone nature of hand coding,” said Francis Bordeleau, chief technology officer, Zeligsoft. “The resulting platform agility they gain will have a direct impact on the organization’s bottom line.”

At a time when application software is rapidly growing in size and complexity, Zeligsoft’s solution provides the much needed technology for software application optimization, configuration and portability across platforms.
