ZapApp changes identity

BANGALORE, INDIA: Solutions and services provider ZapApp, a fully owned subsidiary of First Advantage Corporation, has changed its name to First Advantage Offshore Services Private Limited.

Addressing the media here today, Tarun Jauhari, country manager of the company, said, “ZapApp India Pvt Ltd is changing its identity to First Advantage Offshore Services Private Ltd, to be in line with its global branding strategy."

First Advantage Offshore Services operates as a fully captive off-shoring cost center for First Advantage and provides the company and its subsidiaries with software development, voice and non-voice BPO and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) services.

Alan Missen, chief information officer, First Advantage Corporation said, "The name change has significant bearing on our portfolio as it aligns our development resources with our global branding initiative. First Advantage intends to continue its growth through organic initiatives, as well as mergers and acquisitions, and we are confident that our Bangalore unit will continue to support this growth with latest technology and skilled manpower as they have been doing for the past seven years."

He added "India is a major destination for offshoring with 80 percent of work done here. We look forward and rely heavily on the talent available in India through our captive unit."

Speaking on the sidelines about the attrition rate faced by the BPO industry in the country, Jauhari said, "The attrition level was very low in ZapApp as company was working hard to provide good working environment and career growth”.
