Now parents will have more device options to run YouTube Kids for their children, instead of just a smartphone.

YouTube Kids, the children-friendly version of Google’s popular YouTube video app is now expanding to a bunch smart TVs from Samsung, Sony and LG.

In a blog post, product manager A.J. Crane said, “YouTube Kids app will be available on LG, Samsung, and Sony smart TVs in the 26 countries where the app is currently launched.”

The feature is being expanded to the following TV models:

All 2015 – 2017 LG webOS TVs via the LG content store
All 2013 – 2017 Samsung Smart TVs and Blu-Ray Players that have access to the Samsung App Store
2016-2017 Sony TVs after a firmware update (except Android TV models, which will get their own app soon)

Google also announced that YouTube Kids has served up 30 billion video views and has over 8 million weekly active users — that’s a seriously large audience to address.

The YouTube Kids app is the first Google product built from the ground up with kids in mind. The app helps children to find videos on topics they want to explore, whether it’s searching for science experiments, watching a favourite cartoon, or only watching your favourite creator’s new videos.

With the added support for smart TVs, YouTube Kids is now available on iOS, Android, Chromecast in 26 countries worldwide.

Though LG, Samsung and Sony’s smart TVs are supporting the app, Google’s own TV operating is yet to join the list. Google says Android TV support for the app will be released in the future, but it did not offer a specific release date.
