YBL bags $3.85 m order

BANGALORE: Yokogawa Blue Star Limited (YBL) has bagged an order valued $3.85 million

from SPF-TKP OMIFRO SNC, a joint venture between Samprogetti of Italy and Tecnip-Coflexip of France. The project requires YBL to supply Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency shutdown system (ESD) and related equipment to the OMAN — INDIA Fertilizer Project (OMIFCO), in the Sultanate of Oman.



OMIFCO, a Joint Venture between IFFCO, KRIBHCO & Oman Oil, is setting up Ammonia and Urea Plants in this complex.



The unique feature of the project is informed to be a geographical distribution of control and automation tasks. The supplies are being targeted to commence in August / September, 2003. This is yet another landmark for YBL, which has successfully installed DCS in almost all plants of IFFCO & KRIBHCO in India as well as other fertilizer plants like Chambal, Zuari, Indo-Gulf, NFL, and FACT.
