NEW DELHI: Yahoo! India Research and Development has announced that it has made its new Yahoo! Mail ‘fully accessible’, to bring a large community of people with various disabilities on to the Internet bandwagon.

With this, visually impaired users too can use Yahoo! Mail Classic with similar ease as other users, making it one of the biggest web mail applications on earth with support for accessibility.

The simplicity of design in the new Yahoo! Mail classic with accessibility feature is such that it will work on all standard screen reader software, Yahoo said in a statement.

Assisted by Yahoo! Accessibility guru Victor Tsaran, the Yahoo! India R&D team in Bangalore has played pivotal role to make the new Yahoo! Mail “fully accessible.”

Yahoo said in a statement that it is important that users familiarize with the screen reader and screen magnifier software before using Yahoo! products with Accessibility features. With basic Internet connectivity, any user with physical disabilities can now experience the new Yahoo! Mail.
