Yageo revenues up 15 p.c. Q-o-Q

TAIPEI: Passive component maker Yageo saw its consolidated revenues grow up to 36 per cent consecutively to all time high of NT$2.403 billion (US$76.26 million) for the month of March 2010, buoyed by growing shipments of MLCCs and chip resistors.

Revenues during the first quarter of the year 2010 summed up to NT$6.269 billion, up 15 per cent from the preceding quarter.

Meanwhile, Laser Tek, a provider for SMD packaging materials for passive components, in addition saw its revenues boost by 26.6 per cent consecutively to NT$195 million in March thanks to growing demand from passive component makers.

Laser Tek posted revenues of NT$517 million in the initial quarter of the year 2010, up 13.6 per cent on quarter. The company expects is revenues to grow up to a sequential rate of higher than 10 per cent in the succeeding quarter.
