XTM now has the ability to process PDF files and has improved handling of complex HTML files. It also includes an optional link to statistical machine translation for text not matched in the translation memory.

Furthermore XTM Workflow has been significantly improved to provide greater flexibility and support for multiple translators and reviewers working simultaneously on one document, added the press release.

Project managers are now able to track in real-time individual translator statistics and project metrics, showing the progress of each step in the workflow.

XTM Terminology has an elegant new interface and closer integration with the XTM editor to enable the optimal use of terminology. Most importantly, another key feature is the enhanced performance from the XTM Engine so that even very large files are analyzed quickly and accurately.

Bob Willans, director of XML-INTL says “Apart from adding new features to XTM we have also focused on ensuring the system’s performance is infinitely scalable and meets the requirements of all our users, however large. We are pleased to be able to offer XTM not only as a traditionally licenced model, but also as a hosted system in which we provide and maintain the server and users access the system securely via the web.”
