Xiaomi Mi A1 red variant launched in India at Rs 13,999

Xiaomi has launched a special red variant of the Mi A1 in India. The special edition Mi A1  priced at Rs 13,999 will go on sale December 20 on Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, Mi Preferred Partner Stores. The smartphone is the first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi.

Last month, Xiaomi expanded the Mi A1 color range by adding a Rose Gold option. The latest addition, therefore, makes the Mi A1 available in a total of four colors - Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and the Special Edition Red. The Red variant will have similar specifications as the previous versions of Mi A1.

The Mi A1 features a full metal body design with 7.3 mm thickness and a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass screen protected by Corning Gorilla glass. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 and a 3,080 mAh battery. The Mi A1 comes with 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and a dual camera set-up that provides 2x optical zoom. It has a 5 MP front camera and 12 MP dual rear camera. The smartphone uses USB Type-C port for charging and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge Technology for fast charging.

Additionally, Xiaomi is hosting its No 1 fan sale on December 20 and December 21 through Mi.com.
