Xerox printer-copier for color intensive environments

NEW DELHI: Xerox India Ltd has announced the launch of its latest color solutions, the DocuColor240/250 printer-copier for color intensive environments.

This announcement was made during Innovate 2005, the road show being organized by the company to showcase the benefits of digital printing technology.

Priced at Rs 24,95,000 the DocuColor240/250 offers sharp printing and copying at 2400 x 2400 dpi. Depending on the customer's existing workflow, Xerox offers the choice of CREO, EFI and DocuColor SP controllers/servers with the DocuColor240/250.

With a standard total paper capacity of 3,260 sheets, DocuColor240/250 has a large, full-color touch screen and stores scanned files in file formats like TIFF, JPG and PDF.

Speaking on the occasion, Xerox India production systems group director Vipin Tuteja said, “Digital printing is fast catching up and Indian customers are fast realizing the benefits of Print-on-Demand. We expect Print-on-Demand market to grow to 15 percent in 2006. The new solutions launched are targeted at segments like prepress, graphic arts providers and corporate.”

He added that currently more than 16 of Xerox's channel partners are selling this product.

Xerox India is hosting a two-day road show in Delhi and Mumbai on November 8 and November 10 respectively.

Targeted at graphic arts, commercial printers, direct marketing, advertising companies and corporate, the road show is designed to showcase Xerox's innovations in the digital printing business.
