Xerox India achieves major milestone

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Xerox India has achieved a major milestone with the installation of the 1000th DocuColour Digital Press in India, the company said in a press release.

The announcement was made during Innovate 2007, a series of educational seminars organized by Xerox targeted at the print and graphic arts community as well as the corporate marketing and advertising agencies.

Xerox also used Innovate 2007 as a platform to launch four Production Systems Group (PSG) equipments. These include three equipments from DocuColor portfolio, Xerox DC 242, DC 252 & DC 260 and the Xerox Nuvera 288 known as the ‘Digital Perfecting System’.

The newly launched products from the DocuColor series stable make production color printing more affordable, and professional with outstanding image quality, the company said. These Docucolor products are targeted for all who plan to enter the Digital Print market.

The Xerox Nuvera 288, is the ‘fastest cutsheet B&W press in the world’ aimed to redfine the perfection in production printing, said the company. The Xerox Nuvera 288 will be showcased in India for the first time at IPEX South Asia, an international graphic arts and publishing exhibition from 24-27 October in Noida.

Elaborating further on the installation of Xerox’s 1000th Production machine in the field Vipin Tuteja, Executive Director, Production Systems Group, Xerox India Limited said, “Xerox is a market leader in Digital Printing and the 1000th installation of a DocuColor press in India proves our ability and capability to penetrate in a high growth market.
