MUMBAI: Xansa is very bullish about the India operations. It sees growth in IT and BPO services and it is recruiting heavily to meet the anticipated market demand.

Speaking to the media Alistair Cox, CEO, Xansa said, " our Indian operations is growing rapidly and have increased our headcount by over 50 percent to 1600 since start of our financial year in May. We expect to also have doubled our Indian resources by the end of year. Our attrition rate is less than 7 percent that is lower the industry's figure."

Xansa's focus in India is two fold namely the delivery of integrated IT services to its clients combining skills from offshore with those already in place onshore and the provision of high value, complex back office processes with the potential to move into front office processes as per the requirements of the clients.

Continuing he said, "we have newly opened facilities at Noida and Chennai, which are fully functioning and the next phase of the construction at Pune is underway to deliver further seats by summer of 2004. Once we fully complete our total capacity in India will provide 10,000 seats on a single shift basis. At present we have 500 seats on single shift basis. "

"Growth in the BPO area has been particularly significant and we now operate ten discrete processes for a number of different clients up from one year ago. Now we are the key domestic providers of integrated on/offshore services in the UK. However we have not restricted our operations to UK, but have entered the US market too. We recently struck a deal with an American firm last week. Xansa continues to increase the scope of services offered as well as the number of clients served, he added.
