Wynncom sponsors 'Straight Drive'

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Wynn Telecom, the new handset player in the market, is sponsoring the studio show "Straight Drive" for the ongoing triangular cricket series between India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

"After making its immense visibility through different mediums Wynncom aims to create its brand imagery and recall by sponsoring 'Straight Drive'. This property would also help to create brand awareness and connect with the audience," a company statement said.

The company will also air a new television commercial casting the brand ambassadors Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu during the show and the live telecast of matches.

Commenting on the initiative, Naved Chaudhary, head-marketing of Wynn Telecom Ltd, said: "Cricket is immensely followed in our country and we at Wynncom preferred to seize the 'Straight Drive' opportunity to create brand awareness and brand connect with the youth and to reach the masses with high visibility medium like cricket."

Wynn Telecom is a part of the Rs.2,500 crore SAR Group which includes other companies like Luminous Power Technologies, Luminous Teleinfra, Luminous Engineering and Lectrix Motors. The group operates in 36 countries across the world and has its own manufacturing base in India and China.

The company has earmarked an investment plan of Rs.100 crore and Rs.400 crore in the current and subsequent financial year respectively.
