The only expense is the normal SMS charges to activate the service, for the start-up SMS (and once more for the stop SMS, if one wants to stop the service).

Commenting on this service, Prasanto K Roy, Chief Editor, CyberMedia's technology publications said, "For a big chunk of India's 300 million mobile phone users, SMS is the most widely used feature after voice. This is a simple, elegant way to get instant updates on just-launched gadgets, and Netcore has shown how rapidly this medium can proliferate through word of mouth alone."

Speaking about the launch of this new channel on its 25-channel service, Rajesh Jain, founder of Netcore said, "The non-intrusive nature of MyToday dailies with its opt-in feature has made it a major success, taking it to nearly 4 million users across the channels. This bouquet will be enhanced by CyberMedia's in-depth technology understanding."

CyberMedia also powers the TECH channel on MyToday, with daily SMS news alerts from the world of infotech and telecom.

The GSM Association, the mobile world's largest trade body, recently voted Netcore's MyToday Dailies as one of the select few ‘True Mobile Start-ups’ in the mobile world.
