Features: ASUS Technology Pvt. Ltd (ASUS) has launched the WL-600g, an all-in-one device that incorporates ADSL modem, wireless router, ftp/printer server functions.

A UPnP IGD compliant device, WL-600g allows devices within the WLAN to share the same IP address and simultaneously play online games and use IP phones. For quick Internet connection, the WL-600g offers Quick Setup feature, which automatically detects local ADSL ISP settings in just a few seconds, ASUS said in a statement.

Altaf Ansari, product manager, Wireless business, ASUS India, said, “ASUS WL600g is a combination of the most desired features by a user. It not only simplifies work and un-clutters the work area but is also great value for money a user can get.”

It offers a host of Plug-n’-Share functions. With WL-600g the hard drives or the printers can be plugged via the USB 2.0 host ports to enable other devices in the network to share their functions without the need to leave a PC or server turned on 24 hours a day.

It acts as an ftp server, which lets user’s backup data from their computers and use network neighborhood in Windows to browse external hard drive content. Game Blaster, new feature in WL-600g, intelligently optimizes network resource and prioritizes bandwidth for online gaming applications to eliminate action latency when users are battling online, ASUS statement said.

Wireless Distribution System (WDS) allows users to establish a broad wireless network infrastructure by linking several wireless access points with WDS links.
