Wireless firewall router from ZyXEL

NEW DELHI, INDIA: ZyXEL Communications, broadband access solutions provider and the residential gateway provider, has announced the availability of its latest Wireless Firewall Router for stable Multimedia Applications—ZyXEL P-334WH 802.11g Wireless Firewall Router for multimedia applications.

This router is specifically designed for small office and home office (SOHO) environments. With a built-in signal amplifier, the transmit power of P-334WH is boosted 60 percent over standard 802.11g wireless routers.

The P-334WH can broaden the wireless coverage and eliminate dead spots for different applications. With an effective outdoor range of up to 2000 feet, the P-334WH can be placed anywhere to extend the wireless range and bring many dead spots back to life.

The new offering also offers the Media Bandwidth Management v2 (MBM v2) feature to provide the ability to fine tune bandwidth-sensitive network applications such as VoIP, online gaming or P2P sharing. The ZyXEL-exclusive MBM technology gives users the power to prioritize tasks or allocate certain bandwidth to designated applications.

The Wi-Fi Multimedia technology employed by the P-334WH also enables multimedia applications to secure the largest bandwidth share on a wireless network. Complying with the IEEE 802.11e WLAN QoS draft standard, the P-334WH will improves the Internet experience from plain data transmission to rich multimedia enjoyment without waiting.

The ZyXEL P-334WH is available in India through ZyXEL Technology India Pvt. Ltd., and through its authorized channel partners at a price of Rs 5500 excluding taxes.
