Wipro posts Q4 net profit of Rs. 1,729 crore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Ltd posted net profit of Rs.6,636 crore (Rs.66.4 billion) for entire fiscal 2012-13 (FY 2013), registering 19 percent growth year-on-year (YoY) as per the Indian accounting standard.

In a regulatory filing Friday, the IT bellwether said total revenue for the fiscal under review (FY 2013) rose 16 percent YoY to Rs.43,361 crore (Rs.433.6 billion) under the Indian accounting standard.

Under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) net income for fiscal under review is $1.22 billion and total income $7.95 billion.

The company's global IT services revenue under IFRS increased 5 percent to $6.22 billion and by 19 percent YoY to Rs.33,843 crore (Rs.338.43 billion) for FY 2013 under the Indian accounting standard.
