Wipro partners with Surgient

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Technologies and Surgient, a vendor in virtual lab management applications, today announced a strategic systems integration agreement to provide organizations with software testing solutions.

Wipro’s Testing Services Division will implement Surgient’s virtual lab management software to accelerate software testing cycles and deployment times for customers across the globe, Wipro said in a statement on Monday.

According to the agreement, Wipro’s Testing Services Division will be a systems integrator for Surgient’s Virtual QA/Test Lab Management System (VQMS) worldwide. VQMS helps consolidate and automate the computing infrastructure used in the testing of enterprise software.

“Today’s organizations demand more powerful, customizable and multi-functional enterprise software solutions that can be rolled out quickly and within budget,” said Mr. Gangadharaiah CP, senior vice president and worldwide head of Testing Services Division for Wipro Technologies.

“As the largest 3rd party independent software testing services provider, we are constantly looking for new technologies that will help us meet the software testing needs of our customers. Using Surgient virtual lab management applications to automate the provisioning and testing of software applications will enable our customers to more quickly deploy new enterprise applications,” he added.

Wipro will also include Surgient VQMS in its Center of Excellence. The companies have also agreed to organize joint go-to-market activities.

Tim Lucas, president and CEO, Surgient, said, “Wipro can now provide its customers virtual lab services to test software applications and software patches before they are rolled out across the physical enterprise.”
