Wipro partners BAE Systems

BANGALORE: Wipro Technologies has signed an agreement with BAE systems on commercial aerospace projects.

According to this agreement, both the companies will establish a technical development center in India to work on projects covering a range of systems for BAE Systems Platform Solutions in the commercial Aerospace domain.

Mike Mendoza, BAE Systems VP India, said, “This is an important partnership and the start of what we hope will be a very successful relationship for both Wipro and BAE Systems.”

Dr AL Rao, chief operating officer, Wipro Technologies, said, “Our proven Global Delivery Model and domain specific quality certifications like AS 9100, coupled with our demonstrated capability in complex product engineering will provide faster time to market advantage to BAE for new product developments and also aid in making BAE systems products and services more competitive.”

This partnership follows a Memorandum of Agreement signed by BAE Systems and Wipro in June, 2007.
