Wipro looking to spread out

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro is looking to accelerate investments in geographies like Middle East, Germany and Canada.

“We see more opportunities in these regions. We want to replicate the Indian model of delivering services in Middle East and other regions. We have healthy pipeline of large deals in these geographies,” stated Suresh Vaswani, president, IT practices, Wipro Technologies.

The company’s India, Middle-East and APAC IT business recorded 49 per cent growth YoY. APAC and Middle East revenues grew eight per cent sequentially and it contributes nine per cent of the total revenues. Wipro would also open Centers of Excellence in China and in Georgia, Atlanta very soon, informed Vaswani.
