Wipro launches prefabricated data centre

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Infotech, the India, Middle East and Africa, IT Business of Wipro Ltd., announced the launch of its FluidState data centre.

Based on its model-driven engineering framework for next-generation data centres called FluidState, the FluidState data centre from Wipro is essentially a predesigned, prefabricated data centre which can be setup in less than a week — almost 10 times faster than a conventional data centre, claims the company.

With technology powered by Cisco, HP, Hitachi and EMC among others, the FluidState data centre offers a contemporary modular design, optimized for efficiency, cooling, power and space. 

FluidState offers a greener data centre in terms of a unified computing environment with 24×7 lights out operation, capacity on demand, four times higher density per rack, up to 40 percent lower cooling cost and reduced carbon footprint. The data centre uses virtualization and highest density in its building blocks, addsthe company.

Wipro FluidState is available in four models, Nano, Standard, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus, and designed for deployment, both indoors and outdoors.

Wipro solution offering includes hosting, consulting and design, implementation and integration, management and consolidation. Wipro also offers 24/7 support on all FluidState equipment with capability for remote integration.
