Wipro Info enters health care sector

BANGALORE: Wipro Infotech has entered the health care sector with a strategic

partnership with Apollo Health Street Ltd. (AHSL), part of the Apollo Group.

The partnership will address hospitals, clinics, doctors, pharmaceutical and

insurance companies of their IT needs. The alliance is also targeting the

markets in India, Australia, Middle East and the Asia Pacific.

While Wipro is expected to offer its domain knowledge in IT solutions, Apollo

is to bring its expertise of the health care. The combined solutions would

include implementation skills for hospitals and clinics, decision support

systems and data analytics for pharmaceutical companies, claims settlement

solutions for insurance companies and e-CRM solutions for doctors, to name a

few.

According to company officials, this is the first time in the country a total

service proposition is being offered to all the stake holders of the healthcare

industry.
