for strategic outsourcing and consultancy. For HPL the intent is in the area of

utility and strategic management involving over Rs 2 crore of business per annum

and more in the course of increasing involvement.

The utility section would include the user interfaces and under laying network
components for the entire organization. It would also include integration and

development in the area of SAP at the enterprise level for the organization.

According to company sources the MoU would help HPL in saving a lot of costs,

save utility investments, with frequent technical refresh and optimization. 80

per cent of their work will be remotely handled thus giving a lot of opportunity

for cost sharing. Once the entire load of customer service is converted into

product there would be increasing optimization in the area of customer

sustained outstanding performance through superior knowledge management. The MoU

with Wipro will enable HPL to reach its goal faster. The strategic intent is an

important step in developing a strong value relationship with Wipro," said

HPL managing director, Richard Saldhana.

In order to render strategic IT outsourcing service to HPL, Wipro will first

study in detail the company’s existing facilities , short and long term

requirement of IT as a strategic tool. A blue print will be soon followed on the
