Wipro to distribute IBM Intel PCs

BANGALORE: Wipro Infotech and IBM India have become business partners whereby Wipro will distribute IBM’s Intel PC range in India. Initially the focus would be servers and notebooks.

This relationship seeks to enhance market addressability for both IBM and Wipro. The addition of the IBM range will enhance Wipro’s portfolio of products while providing System Integration Solutions to the Indian Information Technology market. Wipro’s current portfolio of computer systems comprises of Wipro Mentor, Wipro Voyager and Wipro SuperGenius PCs, Wipro Grafika workstations and Wipro netPower servers, as well as acer and Sun brands.

“The IBM Wipro relationship will offer an ideal combination of leading edge technology and high quality service to the Indian customer.,” said IBM Vice President (Personal Systems Group) Neelam Dhawan. Wipro Computers and Systems Integration chief executive Suresh Vaswani said “Wipro has always taken initiatives to build customer capital by consistently improving its value proposition to customers.”
