Wipro, Cargotec enter long-term deal

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, a provider in precision engineered hydraulic cylinders, entered into a long-term partnership with Cargotec Corporation, provider in Cargo and Material Handling Solutions, for the supply of hydraulic cylinders, the companies announced today.

As a part of the agreement Wipro will supply hydraulic cylinders to multiple facilities and products of Cargotec. Wipro has been a key supplier of hydraulic cylinders to Cargotec for the past several years.

According to a press release the partners would focus on engineering, product development and technology initiatives in the area of hydraulic cylinders.

In the words of Lauri Björklund, senior vice president, production and purchasing for Cargotec, “Our leadership is driven by innovation and quality, and a partnership of this nature with Wipro will be a key driver of those dimensions.Wipro has been an important long-term partner for us, and we look forward to deepening this relationship.”

Wipro manufactures the high quality components in its five facilities across Scandinavia and three facilities across India.
