CEBU, PHILIPPINES: Wipro Technologies today opened a BPO center in Cebu, Philippines, as part of the company’s strategy to build global delivery capabilities.

The Indian firm said in a statement that it plans to hire more than 900 employees.

The 45,000 sq. ft. center will focus on both voice and non-voice business in the field of customer service support, technical support, HR services, financial and accounting and procurement services.

Wipro is also looking at establishing additional centers in other fast-growing cities in the Philippines.
