Wipro bags award for IT deployment at UC

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Technologies, the global IT, consulting and outsourcing business of Wipro Limited, and University of Canberra (UC), a leading Australian university, have jointly bagged ‘Best Service Provider’ Innovation Excellence Award at the 2012 ANZ-ISG Paragon awards.

Wipro said in a press release that this award recognizes its innovative managed services delivery on a single platform covering IT Infrastructure, Business Process Outsourcing and Applications in a distributed global-delivery model, for the university.

Wipro's solutions ensured the use of standardized and streamlined best practices for administrative and admission process improvement, and increased responsiveness and flexibility during a time of great change in the Australian higher education sector. It has improved reporting capabilities and helped reduce UC’s general and administrative service delivery costs.

Bruce Lines, registrar, University of Canberra, said, "...since the commencement of the engagement with the UC, we have been impressed by Wipro's ability to deliver value to the partnership through optimization of business processes, commitment to best practice methodologies and their ability to manage change."

The Australia New Zealand (ANZ) Paragon Awards, awarded by Information Services Group (ISG), a technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company, recognize leadership and best practices in sourcing and service management.
