Windows 7 RC to expire soon

BANGALORE, INDIA: For those who are still testing Microsoft's new operating system, Its time to get upgraded. The Windows 7 Release Candidate is going to expire soon.

According to the Windows blog, On 15th of this month, users of the RC get a notice to upgrade and starting from March 1st they would face a bi-hourly shut down of systems till June 1st. After that the desktop wallpaper would be replaced with display saying ' This copy of Windows is not genuine '.

“ To avoid any data loss, I suggest making plans to move to a released version of Windows 7 before the automatic shutdowns start. During these shutdowns, your work will not be saved,” said Brandon LeBlanc in the blog.

IT professional, who require some time to test the OS can opt for the Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day Trial.
