Driven by the volatility in US Dollar-Indian Rupee value for the past several quarters, the company is planning to restructure the product price list, which will come into effect from November 2012 onwards, in a bid to bring it on par with the global standards.

"The Indian IT market has matured and is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. We see maturity in terms of IT infrastructure and buying powers in the market. As the country's IT market is growing, we actually see that India can absorb the same level of pricing structure as that of the global markets," Floris van Heijst, general manager, Marketing & Operations, Microsoft Corp. (India), said over a call.

Floris noted that this will not come across as a surprise to its partner community because several of its competitors have been doing so.

"Moreover, it will not impact the company's sales margins," he added.
