Windows 8.1 will deliver improvements and enhancements in areas like personalization, search, the built-in apps, Windows Store experience, and cloud connectivity. Here are some of the changes the Windows 8.1 will integrate: Personalisation, search, apps and Windows Store, PC settings, Internet Explorer, and so on.

However, the Windows 8.1 preview page clearly mentions that users should opt for the download only if they are comfortable with trouble-shooting their PC. As Windows 8.1 preview and Windows RT 8.1 preview aren't the finished product, the PC could crash and one could lose important files. Hence, it's important to back up the data and one shouldn't test the preview on their primary home or business PC, says the Windows 8.1 preview page.

Also, uninstalling the Windows 8.1 preview isn't supported. So, it may be possible to restore the entire system only to its factory condition. Some requirements for the Windows 8.1 preview are as follows: 1 GHz or faster processor, 1 GB or 2 GB, free hard disk space 16 GB or 20 GB, MicrosoftDirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver, and so on.

We would request our readers to go through the FAQs thoroughly before installing the Windows 8.1 preview. To install the Windows 8.1 preview, click here.
