Windows 10 will reportedly cost just as much as its predecessor. The prices for Windows 10 is likely to start from $110 for the Windows 10 Home package to $199 for the Windows 10 Pro edition. Additionally a Windows 10 Pro Pack will let users upgrade from Home to Pro for $99.

But Microsoft will deliver free upgrade to all the Windows 7 and 8.1 users in 190 territories globally. Users can reserve the free Windows 10 upgrade by clicking the pop-up notification in the task bar at the bottom of the device screen.

Microsoft is also trying hard to right the wrongs of Windows 8 and 8.1 and aims to usher in a new era of more personal computing with Windows 10. The Start menu will be back in Windows again along with other UI improvements with this new release to make it more user-friendly than Windows 8.

A top design priority was also to make Windows 10 ready for today’s complex business requirements.

Windows 10 will also run the broadest device family ever, including Windows PCs, Windows tablets, Windows phones, Windows for the Internet of Things, Microsoft Surface Hub, Xbox One and Microsoft HoloLens. But it will be available for the tablet and PCs first on July 29 and will eventually be available for other form factors as well.
