BANGALORE: Wind River Systems, engaged in providing software and services for

connected smart devices, has introduced Tornado® for Industrial Automation

(TINA), the company's first integrated vertical solution for the industrial

measurement and control market.

The complete development solution combines Wind River's leading VxWorks®

real-time operating system (RTOS) and Tornado® integrated development

environment (IDE) with the popular DeviceNet protocol stacks - simplifying and

shortening the development cycle and thereby enabling customers to create highly

functional and innovative industrial devices.

The product will be available in India. Announcing the launch, Ajit

Edlabadkar, country manager, Wind River Systems, India, said, "Wind River

has been a leading technology provider in the Industrial Measurement and Control

market for many years with technology such as VxWorks RTOS, the Tornado IDE, and

our VxDCOM™ products. Tornado for Industrial Automation will help

provide customers in India to integrate industry-specific solutions that enable

them to focus on their application-specific value rather than spend time trying

to integrate the enabling technologies."
