The new product, which analysts believe can replace the computer mouse, uses the multi-touch technology on the MacBook Pro and supports a full set of gestures, giving you a whole new way to control and interact with what’s on the your screen.

According to Apple site, Magic Trackpad gives a whole new way to control what’s on your Mac desktop computer. When the user performs gestures, he will actually interact with what’s on your screen. This makes users feel closer to content, and moving around feels completely natural.
