According to the company, this application is designed to empower the school authorities to communicate with parents and guardians any time and anywhere.

The company claims that MMiE offers real time connectivity enabling the users to send a message from their desktop with a maximum of 640 characters, send bulk or single SMS to multiple locations, set advance SMS reminders, integration of multiple address books, etc.

The application works from a normal PC connected to a database server through local network. The server automatically retrieves the data based on a pre-set query. This data is then sent to multiple destinations (mobile phones) using Internet.

The key features according to the company that make MMiE a unique product for academic institutions are its user-friendly interface, group messaging facility, pre-paid billing system, message delivery notifications, reminder setting option and more. However, these solutions can be customized and more features can be added to address the need of various schools.

After successful installation of MMiE at Bal Bharati Public School, Delhi, Mobile Mantra India is now planning to introduce this application to other schools in the city.

According to Dharohar Info Tech AG, Switzerland president & CEO Naveen Varshneya, "MMiE enables the school to send student performance reports, attendance status, results, fee reminders, emergency alerts & notifications etc. to the parents on their mobile devices even when they are abroad".

"This technology will definitely increase the level of confidence in parents since they can also send requests to a unique SMS number assigned to the school to receive the desired information about their wards on their mobile phones," he added.
