Well, he wants to share his baby's first moments by way of virtual reality. And what better option that Oculus Rift, the company FB acquired for $2 billion in 2014.

Stating that the two worlds—real and virtual would soon blur, Zuckerberg says that the gaming console is more of an evolutionary tool with social networking as a fully immersive experience. No wonder, he wants to share not just the pictures of his baby, but bring alive an entire experience to the world, by using the tool.

One must also recall that during an interview at the Vanity Fair Summit in San Francisco earlier this month, the Facebook CEO reiterated that he was really looking forward to being able to capture not just a photo but to really capture the experience... and have have the ability to actually be there."
