When a Poultry broods on WAN Optimization

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Expand Networks, player in optimizing WANs for branch office consolidation and virtualization,  announced that Baiada Poultry Pty Limited, a leading Australian provider of poultry products, is using Expand Networks WAN optimization technology to effectively prioritize traffic over the WAN, resulting in substantial improvements in company processes.

Baiada initially implemented Expand’s Accelerators to overcome network performance challenges created by sending large numbers of invoices to remote printers each night, adds a press note. By prioritizing and accelerating traffic over the WAN, Baiada has significantly reduced the time it takes to print several hundred invoices. With these invoices being sent out with each delivery truck, efficiency in the printing process has greatly assisted Baiada in getting deliveries out on time.

Since implementing Expand, Baiada has achieved 50 per cent increase in network capacity, a 90 per cent increase in speed and performance of network operations and has also improved network response time by 75 per cent. Furthermore, in support of rapid company growth, Baiada has recently purchased additional Expand Accelerators, following the acquisition of Bartter Steggles. With this increased number of Accelerators Baiada has also implemented ExpandView, Expand’s full-featured central management, reporting and alerting system, to more efficiently manage its extended wide area infrastructure.
